Seavana Yachts had a goal in mind- to produce a yacht that could be handled by an individual, but could also fit a crew, and optimize space usage. The company was created in 1999, as New York-based, and brought together a team of designers, engineers, and builders from Great Britain and the United States. The Seavana 60 was developed with a length of 59 feet, 8 inches. Naval designer Bill Dixon provided the naval architecture and engineering aspects of the yacht design. Sea Ranger Yachts in Oundle, Norfolk, England, handled the construction of the yacht. The yacht is built to satisfy the strict standards of the British RCD and the United States’ ABYC. The Seavana 60 is built for long-range cruising and sports a modified deep-V hull. Space utilization in the yacht can be compared to 65-foot yachts.
