That's right. She was built in 1980 and has never been commissioned or rigged. And don't let the picture deceive you. She has only been sitting outside for a couple of years. She spent most of her life in a building with a controlled environment. Her hull and deck were built at Durbeck Marine and then moved to Hidden Harbor Boatworks. As the architect was telling me her story, he mentioned that she is a historic yacht as she was the first yacht built without using a mold although Admiral Marine would get credit for this contruction method some 10 years later. I have discussed her with her naval architect and he has offered to be involved with the new owner in fitting her out. He has several options which could involve keeping her as a ketch or converting her to a short masted trawler. When you see how well she is constructed, you will know you are on a true blue water yacht. Both the engine and genset are "pickled" but need to be plumbed. Finishing wood work, electrical and plumbing need to be completed on the interior. This is a boat that will be absolutely stunning when completed. Look at the pictures and call if you can envision yourself completing this world class yacht.
