The yacht was purchased by her present owners in 2001 from the builder and original owner Andre Hudreaux, who only used the yacht for family holidays and week-ends. Her present owners have cruised her around Europe, visiting the United Kingdom and the Channel Islands, and Brittany. Last summer the yacht was sailed to Norway to participate in the Festial for Wooden Boats, and then on to Denmark where she was hauled and the hull and topsides repainted. The owners have found the yacht very easy to sail as a couple and have commented that she handles like a dinghy and turns "on a sixpence", yet also affords them for extended crusing, comfortable accommodation. They have also found the large cockpit to be very dry in all conditions, and with the high bulwarks make it a very safe and cosy place to be at sea, and at the same time an ideal place for entertaining a large number of guests. Although a classic looking yacht , she is built using modern cold molded construction methods, which form a strong and dry hull ,even though from the outside she looks as though she is traditionally carvel built. Her centre-board makes anchoring in shallow places a dream and adds to her manoeverability in tight places. Daniel Z Bombigher designed his series of offshore cruising schooners to be built of modern cold molded/strip plank/epoxy construction, but with a superbly detailed traditional style that reflected his great respect for the designs of tradition. His plans were complete down to the smallest detail. Everything about his designs was artistic - the yachts' details as well as the drawings themselves. Hardly suprising given that Daniel Bombigher was also a talented marine artist. he also took tremendous interest in his designs and spent much time aboard, including on trans-Atlantic crossings, in order to monitor the various Shpountz designs' performance and how their construction design worked in the building , and after, with respect to ease of maintenance later in the yacht's life. The result was a series of classically styled schooners that are ideal both offshore and to live aboard. The yacht has been well maintained by her owners, who have spent a considerable sum in upgrading her. She represents an ideal opportunity for a new owner who appreciates the beauty of these lovely yachts. In 2006 the following overhaul and repairs have been done:-
