June that Texaco and other companies that once narrowly defined themselves as oil companies are strategically investing in technologies that just 20 years ago they brushed off as a weak threat. "Today, we know they represent our future", he said, and: "I do believe that – ultimately and inevitably – we will see the emergence of the hydrogen economy."
