Description |
|
This is not your typical Catalina. The 36’ Catalina was designed as a costal cruiser, but after 5 years of grueling boat projects, this vessel set sail for an around the world voyage starting in California in 1998. First it was sailed to Mexico, through the South Pacific islands including Tonga, and on to New Zealand. From there it visited Fiji and cruised up the east coast of Australia, then headed across the South Indian Ocean to South Africa with short stops in Mauritius and Reunion Islands. The passage continued around the Cape of Good Hope, up the South Atlantic with a brief rest in St. Helena, and on to Trinidad. Then this vessel island hopped through the Caribbean and Bahamas and settled in Florida where it is now for sale again. If you are looking for a world cruiser with all the custom work done for you at a coastal cruiser price, do not hesitate to preview this well built sailing vessel. Article from Good Old Boat “Bluewater Catalina” available upon request. |
