Built in 1992 at the Beachcraft Conavroegh
shipyard in Geldermalsen, Holland, this steel ketch was designed by Tom
Tholen, Hans Brod and the famous Dick Zaal. After the wooden interior
was finished, she was registered and put into service in 1994. The
Stainless steel lattice construction masts and stern pulpit are unique
features not often seen such ships. The wheelhouse offers a dual helm
and gives her that salty look. Full keel and large rudder add stability
and the comfortable interior makes this a perfect bluewater boat. Never
chartered. In beautiful condition!
June 2008: This ship has just received an extensive 3 month refit. The
interior was partly refurbished, everything newly varnished. New cork
cover for the sole, to be installed. New covers for cushions in
pilothouse, to be installed. Chain locker and bilges primed and
painted. Hull and superstructure were primed and painted (now marine
blue and off white), with Sigma 2 component paint and primer.
Antifouling renewed. Under the antifouling is primer and vikote light.
Both shafts were pulled and new seals put in.
